I was hoping for something really spectacular looking, I don't see it. I bet the performance will be there, gotta trust the the engineers did it right until proven wrong. I personally wouldn't want a TT, but a well designed aluminum block v8 would have nice for some weight savings vice a v6...im sure there is something wrong with that thought though.

But I'm really disappointed by the overall look of the truck, I wish it had more open fenderwells, more flare to them to capture 37s STOCK would have been nice knowing that ALOT Of Raptor owners went that route for a reason!

I really don't think the tailgate belongs on a rig with this pedigree. Not a big fan of the front end either, I really wanted it to be set APART from what's out there and I don't think they captured that. I mean look at the Toyota or even the Chevy concept REAPER ......ditto.

None of it is really bad, it's just not AWESOME for me.

I bet it will drive and perform well, but I like my bold NA, rip snorting, V8 14 even more now that I see this next gen.... But hey at least the 17 and beyond owners won't have rusted rocker panels.

Oh well .

Someone needs to start a Poll on...

1. Going to buy
2. Not going to buy (because of engine)
3. Not going to buy (because of looks)
4. Waiting for 2nd year to work out the bugs

Put me down for Going to buy. Trade the 2012 in. Now I will have to wrap another truck with matte black.

... and @dataustin, what the hell is a fax? :)

Put me down under 'Going to buy'

Thoughts..

The tt3.5 will hurt some 6.2 feelings, however, it's a complicated mouse trap and the ecoboost long term reliability is still up in the air. I hate to say it, but the ecoboost is Fords future and you can bet Ford can and will build some very bad ass variants of the ecoboost (like we will see in the GT and G2 Raptor). I wish the name wasn't so gay tho

The GT has the GM camp in all sorts of butt hurt, it's awesome.

TRR will now sound like a mix between.. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.......Pssssssssssss and Blaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....burb burb burb

10 speeds??? Can't wait to see how that **** cluster shifts. Ford hasn't even figured out how to handle 6 speeds.

A 2017 Raptor makes my 2010 Raptor sound REALLY old

"The four-wheel-drive system in the next-gen Raptor will include a Terrain Management with settings for bla bla bla bla".... What kind of pussyfied shit it this? What happened to hold the traction control button down for ten seconds to unlock ultimate shinanigan mode?

Did someone from GM draw up the tailgate?

I will probably possibly maybe 90% chance potentially buy one to go with the original bad ass of OG raptors: my black 2010 6.2

I think it's a beautiful looking truck. It's going to be hard to find the first year for close to MSRP at least in the southern California area, first years are always tough for new and desirable vehicles. I hate the thought of the V6, all the European companies have 500+ HP motors as options, it's unfortunate we aren't at least given the choice.

No replacement for displacement. Ha! I had the only 8.2L on the west coast and will still own and drive the 2017 because it will still be a badass truck! More aux switches means more options. Paddle shifters while hammering the dunes, hell yes. 3.0's so I don't have to rebuild the 2.5's, perfect. If removing the plastic on the tailgate doesn't become the first mod, I'll be surprised. I just want to go fast! Out with the old and in with the new.
