Black - Ground
Red - Amber + Red Running Light
Blue - Reverse/Work
Yellow - Brake Light

You could technically wire this up without even using the aux switches for a fully integrated setup, bust most will want the option to turn this off.

So, once you turn the switch on, the red and amber sections are always on, and the Reds would get brighter when braking, and the white would only come on during reverse?

Red and amber would act as running lights, brake signal would turn reds brighter, and white or blue could come on via reverse signal or standalone switch.

Correct.

It wasn't designed to be a replacement for the 3rd brake light. This can be mounted almost anywhere you can mount a 30" Light Bar. A common setup will be on chase racks or mounted on bed cages.

My suggestion is to mount the light as close to the roof line as possible. It is much safer on the trails, especially in poor conditions, with the light mounted up high. A lot easier for people behind you to see you when the light is high and out of the dust vs. low and in a wall of dirt.
