I’m no tree-hugging ******, but I still like to leave places the same or better than when I arrived. I’m sure your experience won’t result in any road or trail closings but things like this can lead to that. Most importantly, I’m glad you and your vehicle didn’t go the direction of the boulders. Let the hate responses begin…
@John M is pretty adamant about leaving the places he visits pristine, hence why he won't supply a proper map to these locations he posts' about. He knows that I will visit and throw my Starbucks coffee out the window and my low fat bacon wrapped egg sandwich wrapper on the ground.

Looks like someone didn't get John's joke. I sympathize. I have the same problem. The downside here is that city kids don't recognize natural rockfall and think he's serious, so this is a joke that could get out of hand if it goes viral. Either way, they're some darned nice pics....

Some people only see one post by a member and miss the point, we all know how passionate @John M is about keeping most of these places a secret because of all the hill-billies and their sisters destroying the landscape. We should all just be thankful that he takes the time and effort to share his passion with us on here instead of giving him a reason not too.

You’re right, I didn’t get the joke…that’s on me. It’s funny now that I get it. Apologies. PS: I live in rural bliss, not the city.

 If you are referring to where my truck is parked…it’s parked at the NPS desig parking area for the hike. The pictures of the hike are soon to come. I’ve been to busy hitting the trail to work on them yet…:grd:

so, if any of you lot ever pay a visit to “The Giant’s Causeway” in Northern Ireland, there’s a cliff that juts out close to the parking lot. So my wife decided to do some exploring right up to the edge of this sheer cliff. You have to take a bus down to the causeway formation, but we’re up here walking this unfenced, totally open area with what looked like a several hundred foot drop.

I’m like “please back away from the cliff”. she’s like “stop telling me what to do.” :-/ I don’t remember how I managed to get her to come back, probably when I stopped talking, but it was a bit nerve racking.
