Would a Torsen diff not typically Require friction modifier because it does not have the clutches like a plate style limited slip?

Exactly. Since every manufacturer is different, Torsen recommends following the vehicle owner’s manual.

I see what you mean, I was referencing the Owner’s Manual. Strange for a helical differential, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to add it since the supplement calls for it.

Nope, it won’t hurt anything. Apparently Ford engineering deemed it necessary in the Raptor application for some reason.

Then why do we need a transfer case, just for 4l? I would be surprised if the transfer case is awd. But what do I know, lol @FordTechOne

Transfer case is disengages the front output shaft in 2WD as you suspected.
