Need suggestions for header and exhaust upgrade

The SW performance connect(stock exhaust fitting) is two single pipes with just y connection to hook up to the factory muffler. You have to remove the factory resonator and the tubing slides into the muffler. That being said you could buy the SW system and run two muffler turndowns. I believe @MOLONxLABE has this style. Check out his build thread.

Aramco, I'm not sure I get your point. I am going for a completely new system. I just want headers that I can build onto, not be stuck with their y-/x-pipe. Thoughts?

In that case...just get a set of headers and cans and have the rest fabricated...that way you will get what you want.

You mentioned you wanted an H-pipe with dual mufflers...but what I was trying to get across is that at our horsepower, torque and RPM numbers...it wouldn't increase performance...just cost.

A two into one is plenty for the 6.2 application under 500 hp. Above that and in higher RPM ranges...H-pipes and X-pipes start to make a difference.

Bullet, I also think a y-pipe would be more restrictive. That is, unless the single outlet tube was at least twice the area of the two incoming tubes. I think an x-/h-pipe would have comparable flow properties to each other. I have no empirical data for this, just an old engineering degree. - YODA

In this case...bigger is not always better. If your outlet diameter is too big...you actually decrease scavenging and therefore actually lose performance. I've done a lot of flow testing of exhaust systems for circle track cars and drag cars and the results are quite surprising.

I have the SW LT headers with cats going into a Borla exhaust dumped at the rear axle.

Do not think that in any way shape or form these won't be loud in the cab. People wet themselves when I start up my truck.

Stainless works LT headers with custom Y pipe, racing cats, and Corsa xtreme exhaust. No drone, sounds like the world is being torn asunder when I get on it.

NP, Post up a pic of the front? I'd like to see it. I'm placing my order for some parts this week with TMX but still undecided on the front bumper. I'm between the Race R, Baja Coyote, and Rogue Throttle. I'm not wanting to cut my frame. Anyway, I'd appreciate it.

In that first video ,you ask if it's normal. I'm pretty sure mine's worse but I live at 6500' in the cold mountains. My cold start lasts 30-40+ seconds. I feel bad for my neighbors. I asked SVC if they could do a cold start delete on my tune but they said it's necessary with the headers.

I live in NC and mutt cold start usually lasts about 30 seconds. You want the higher RPMs so the engine warms up.

I have both a custom tune and 5Star tune. The 5star tune must have a cold start delete. It's really quite in comparison to the custom tune or even no tune.
