So when I bought my 2017 Raptor, it had the magna flow full stainless system installed - https://www.magnaflow.com/products/...back-performance-exhaust-system?aces=10144326.

I cannot stand the drone and in-cab noise as well as the overall raspiness that I get when I really step on it. I had found a 2019 take-off full exhaust system for $100 I was going to buy and go back to stock, but before I did that, I wanted to see if it made sense to possibly try going the route of replacing the muffler or adding some resonators. Any and all advice is appreciated!!!!

Big fan of my flowmaster fx . No drone at all. not too loud, but definitely noticeable

Thanks. I wonder if I can just order two of them and swap out the magna flow muffler... trying to make it as easy and cost effective on me as possible.

I have and like my Flowmaster FlowFX as well, no drone and some tone with less back pressure than stock. Figment for mine was a PITA but after install I am satisfied.

As I understand it, the Flowmaster FX is their version of the Magnaflow exhaust (X flow type muffler). I believe that I have the same Magnaflow that you describe. It’s a 14” X flow muffler. Check with Magnaflow, but they may have a solution to the problem you describe. That may be as simple as an inexpensive muffler swap to a larger muffler that can be welded in.

Borla ATAK fan here. Just the sound I was looking for. Loud when I want it and very reasonable when cruising. Not an expert tho and made my decision based on research and recorded sounds from internet through my headphones so take that for what it’s worth:

Going back to stock is your best bet. Those who waste money trying to put lipstick on a pig are achieving nothing imho. NOTHING you do for any amount of money will make the turbo V6 sound like anything but a turbo V6. You can change the sound but you can't make it sound good. If changing the sound makes it sound good to you then go for it but imo it is futile and money best spent elsewhere.
