Mods to the truck, front fog lights hooked up to outfitter switch. Rear lights also hooked up to outfitter switch as well as to the driver side tail light (I disconnected this and it still came back today). RD detector hooked up to outfitter switch. I checked battery connections. What other things should I be checking?

Not sure about Auto start/stop. It’s disabled via Cobb accessport. I don’t have forscan and so no changes there.

Regardless of whether the truck is tuned or not tuned:
HOW doe the access port disable the auto stop start? I ask because the common FORSCAN methods disable the battery management system (BMS)
LOTS of users here have done it, and moved on with life without a problem.

OTOH, I would suggest that disabling the BMS for whatever reason is not a best practice.

Buy a really good battery if you have aftermarket goodies on your truck, period. Optima or comparable. I haven't had to do that in my Raptor but have in my other vehicle which is modded, only thing that will keep a battery alive in it. These new trucks are so dependent on reading and having full voltage. That old battery may be good enough for a gen 1, but not a newer vehicle, so keep it if you can put it to use somewhere else.

OP: you may still have a prorated warranty on the battery? IDK?

Before replacing the battery I'd check the ground you mentioned first. Those codes are typical of an issue with the CAN network. How did you splice into the tail light wiring? What is the ground you mentioned tied into?

Appreciate all the inputs. I put a battery tender on it for now.

The rear lights came with a harness to plug into the rear tail light. Just disconnect the connectors and put the harness in between. I had read about someone having similar codes when getting water in the taillight. So I disconnected that first and put it back to stock. But had the same issues afterwards (although it took two days for the issues to come back after doing it). The ground for it is hooked to a ground under the rear bumper. Will check that today.

It sounds like you have an issue with the medium speed network (MS-CAN). Did you drill any holes in the taillights for the mods? The Side Obstacle Detection (SOD) modules are inside of each tail lamp; if moisture accumulates inside the tail lamp, it can short the MS-CAN circuits and pull down the network.

No holes drilled in the taillight. I did go through the car wash the day before I started getting any of these warnings.

All grounds (that I’ve messed with are tight). Will check for corrosion. Going to remove taillight again to check for moisture.
