whats wrong with going to accessory under the dash? why does an amp need to be on the switch?
Exactly what I was wondering, no need to waste an Upfitter switch on it

unfortunately not. this is at the steering wheel but its easy to run the wire to there. it should only take a minute or 2
sorry 6 hour drive from my house to reno....for a turn on for a amp or anything that is low current you can use a t tap or cut the insulation and solder to it, or a butt connector. it really doesnt matter as long as it doesnt come out
vosschs- did you ever get around to connecting that wire?I read on another thread. I'm wiring my amp today but I'll be going to the passenger fuse box. Doing a simple "add-a-fuse" in fuse #38 which is the accessory fuse if I'm not mistaken
