It's been well documented in a few other threads that I had an engine destroyed in my gen 2 because of a broken camshaft. Ford has sent a long block for the dealer to put in.
Question is, does anyone know if another Ford dealer down the road would have access to those records, or do they even routinely look at the history of a vehicle in that manner to determine trade-in value?
Wondering if I should be seeing an attorney to discuss lemon law options or be happy with new engine. I want the truck badly, not looking to dump it. I just want it fixed right and don't want to get screwed on its value.

They will see it....it should not affect your trade.....case in point is I had a spun rod in my 2010 Viper ACR.....full engine REBUILD.....Dodge didn't even replace it....trading dealer knew about it and was not an issue.....collision damage is really the big issue....this isn't a lemon law truck.....I wouldn't worry about it
