Are the install of these units the same for an fx4 with the nav unit as a raptor with the nav units?

no. the fx4 doesnt have the front camera so its a different module

I have to say, I put it in my truck...or had someone put it in my truck, and it is very cool. Well constructed, and the installer, who is a professional thought it was one of the easiest installs he had done. He normally does police radios, and does a ton of them.
