depends on what year you have... pre '13 have the dvd player built in after '13 they gave us a spot to plug a cable into.

but yes you can do video in motion with the nav tv only thing is if its a '13 you would have to hook a dvd player up to it instead of just inserting a dvd into the dash

Do you mean the NavTV thing before or after '13 or the Truck's MFT system? My truck was built 10/08/13? Or am I confusing things.

all 2013 trucks do not have a dvd player. ford started 2013 production late summer of last year. if it is a 2013 model then you do not have the dvd player

here is the video i took of my install. keep in mind, i did not do any editing, and whatever issue i ran into, i left on camera. just be sure to watch the whole thing.

Wow, I for one won't be doing this myself. The potential for scratching the dash looks huge. I've installed head units before, but never on a brand-spanking-new $60k truck. Gonna call my dealer to see if they'll do it.

there is no way the dealer will do it for you. i know that from having to deal with car dealerships all the time. you will have to go to a car audio shop to have it installed

Damn. That install looks trickier than I thought it would be. How were tapping into the wires? Simple crimp-style wire taps or something a little more fancy?

you can use seamless butt connectors or solder. which ever you prefer.

to do the camers wires under the hood, definitely solder and heat shrink. that way they are protected from the elements.

After seeing that video and how much needs to be disassembled to install this thing, I am worried about dash rattles. Can anyone who has done this comment on how the dash goes back together? In my previous experience, it's never quite the same as factory.
