The steering lines they are talking about are the ones that show the direction your front tires are turned. there blue i believe.

so i got mine done today by a "pro"... couple of things... when i picked the truck up driving down the road i heard a noise that i hadnt heard prior to the install. I told the gf i thought it might be where they went through firewall to extend that wire. Get to a place where i could open the hood and take a look and what do i find?..... The guy that installed the unit left his wire strippers ontop of my roush cold air intake filter. it looked like it was kind of wedged in there... that did not make me very happy. Then i checked that rubber graument at the firewall and it was about "half" installed. grrrr.

so i fixed the graument and noise went away. Now i have a new pair of wire strippers.

Installed cost $129

now as far as the unit goes everything works great. One thing i did notice with it.... If you want to use any function other than the cameras while driving you have to double press the defrost (not rear defrost) button in order to ungrey the options. Looks like you have to do this every time you shut the truck off and turn it back on. Keep in mind my truck is a '13.

No joy with mine. Can't get front camera to come on. Double press of radio power and rear camera comes on. The only way to get front camera is with factory ORM and diff lock. Activating camera mode on productivity screen strangely brings up the rear camera, not the front. :Pshyco:

My setup is different than you guys have though. I ordered the RSE option which includes an A/V switcher. NavTV instructions are lousy for my kit so I may have missed something. I will tear everything out again tomorrow and double check the interconnections.

So i figured out another little tid bit....

whenever i start the truck with the remote start and turn it on with the key the reverse camera is forced on. have to double tap rear defrost to turn it off.
