I think the offset is a little different on the Venomrex wheels. I watched that vid when it first came out. I looked them up too and they have a pic of a Gen 1 on the web that looks like my Gen 1 with those wheels and it looks BA!

Looks like they have 0 offset for the Raptors. ~$1100 a set.

So I'm pretty dumb with the wheel dimensions/offsets (Math For Marines didn't do a great job). Is that the same as the factory wheels?

I’m in the same boat here. I plan on using my truck for its intended purposes off road and def plan to air down. Didn’t upgrade the wheel package figuring the aftermarket had better options. I take my Jeep 305/70r16 down to 13 psi on the beach and they are non beadlock pro comp wheels $400 for the set. Cheap! Never even came close to blowing a bead that I know of running KM3 and 2s the past 10 years. Is the bead-lock really a necessity? Maybe because the weight of the truck? Are the factory wheels actually true beadlocks?

When choosing an aftermarket wheel, I’d like to find something that doesn’t increase the width of an already extremely wide truck. Could the extra width/backspacing throw off sensors of the vehicle? What is the factory backspacing?

Anything else I’m missing here would be greatly appreciated.

BLUF: The Raptor stock wheels are not 0 offset.

Some people are running some negative offset to stick the wheels out more but then you risk rubbing if you run the truck for what it was build for... but it looks good at the mall. ;)

Thanks man!! I played the wheel game a little bit with my old 14 FX4, and I had bad rubbing issues. Definitely trying to steer away from that BS again (see what I did there?)

Stock is like +34mm offset, so the +0mm Venomrex will push the wheel out 1.34 inches, PLUS the wheel is a half inch wider, so that will put it another 1/4" out...so a total of about 1.59 inches out farther than factory.

I got the 801a also. As noted in this thread…..no “Raptor” on the console unfortunately. I did not order the factory bead locks. Just my opinion but I think the standard wheels looked better. I know the bead locks are stronger tho. My thoughts were that I can order a better set aftermarket for about the same or less than the factory bead locks. To each his own.
