I agree, had to be an inside job. Sounds like you made out pretty well, congrats. Oh, get yourself on Ford Pass right away so if they steal it again, you'll know right where it is:crazy:

I guess the insurance details should have been in the story. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. There are only 2 dealers in the entire province that sell and service raptors. The following is in Canadian dollars...which right now is about 1.25 for every u.s.dollar. you can do the maths. My 2013 had 120000 km. That's about 72000 miles. Insurance came back and offered me 42000. I thought this a ridiculous price so the fourth thing I asked the dealership to do was write a letter to the insurance company. They did basically saying in their research they could not find it possible for me to replace myb2013 for less than 550000. That the truck was at a premium since they stopped making them in 2014. Anyways...it worked. The insurance company came back with a check for 55000. Obviously that wasn't close to what I needed for my new raptor as up here they are going, with tax, for 95 grand. The dealership stepped up again. They took the 55 grand and that's it. They ate the other 30 and ordered my truck.

I liked the limited. Gorgeous truck. I was just always scared to take it off of the road. Too pretty for my taste but a beautiful truck nonetheless.

I have NEVER heard of ANYTHING like that coming from a dealer.
Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Because I've had a LOT of both direct and indirect dealings with many dealers. There's no damned way that would happen in the US.

yeah that's an incredible result. either the dealer is really that amazing or you showing up with a lawyer made them pee their pants a little and the thought of a lawsuit scared them.

what i'd want to know is whether they figured out who did it. did the cops ever find the raptor? make sure you get it before the same person steals your new one!
