No way! I had a '73 Catalina, pale yellow, with the 400 in it. Could fit like 10 of my friends in it. It was quite the party barge. 220,000 on the clock when I finally sold it. That thing made some high speed runs from OK to CO when I was in college. Like 125mph sustained for long lengths of time. Amazingly tough car.

Seriously, I'm lucky to be sitting here writing this today.:party28:

Dude, that 72 Pontiac had a great engine. I think I changed the oil once in it. Didn't know any better. I drove it until I got a 74 Plymouth Grand Fury, which I drove until I got a new hood ornament which just happened to be a station wagon that I t-*****. Yup, to be 17 and is to wreck whatever you drive. This was in the early to mid 80's so they were not antiques then. Payback is hell, my kids have done the same to their cars.

I don't think kids should drive until they are 25 :)

Because the money i have in inheritance I do not get until I turn 18. But I am working on getting my uncle to cosign so i can get it early.

I would NOT leave it on the dealership's lot for a month. They'll let people climb up into it and may even let people test drive it. Take out a loan if you must, have somebody cosign it for you if necessary. There's a side benefit to that - you'll establish a wonderful early credit rating when you pay it off.

Is the truck currently considered sold? if so you better let that dealership know you do NOT want people in it or driving it. Write down the mileage.
