I am on the fence about installing one of these. One thing that may sway me one way or the other is;
Does it improve the audio output at all? I recently replaced the speakers/tweeters with JL Audio and a Pioneer sub in the original sub housing with some polyfill. Honestly was hoping it would sound better than it does.
BUT... if this helps with the audio at all, it may be worth it for me.

It definitely helps with audio quality mainly because you have a full dsp equalizer it runs the tablet through.

I think that's a stretch. Audio passing through a tablet will never be good. I'll say from my personal experience is it made the audio worse. It's ok (not great) for apps like spotify, but for streaming apps (netflix, plex, youtube tv, etc) you have to turn the volume up to 100% to be able to hear it over the road noise.

IIRC the audio is a bit better with the tablet than the OEM head unit... not by a ton, but I do remember it being better. It certainly isn't worse.

I heard that rumor before as well but I can 100% tell you it sounds better then OEM. On top of that I run volume somewhere around 10-13. Ive been an audiophile for a long time and its definetly a small improvement in quality.

I'm, not sure what rumor you're referring to. It's 100% a tablet...do you disagree? Tablets do not have good audio processing (especially the old stuff that's on these radios). I think any improvement you hear is a placebo effect.

If you say so. Do you u understand that there's an eq on the tablet that can help correct for the terrible factory setup holes that are every where. I did extremely high end audio for a living for many years, but of course you are entitled to your opinion.
