Meh, it takes some force on the pedal to get the front to dip and preload the front suspension before the brakes really start scrubbing off speed. Gotta take the good with the bad. Stiffer suspension, less pedal pressure. My thoughts.

They do make me feel like I need to keep thinking about them all the time. I've been on 1 long trip so far and slowing down quickly from 70 can be alarming. A couple of times, I pretty much had to stand on the pedal. They did stop in a pretty straight line if not very quickly.

My brother in law, who drives a 2019 Ram Rebel, nearly rear ended someone driving my Raptor because he was used to the sensitive brakes on the Ram.

After 5,000 miles, the brakes feel fine to me now. It helps to adjust the pedals up (via pedal adjustment button) so it’s not so far from your foot.

I thought that the first day I drove it but I have gotten use to it and it has never ever been an issue. After coming from Raptor Assault a few weeks ago. If you believe what those guys have to say.. the truck was built to use left foot breaking while driving off road. So that is probably why it is that way but if you plan to keep it on the street, you could upgrade them. 2 cents...

Hello subterfuge, did you happen to be at the raptor assault on March 11th?

Also I agree that's what the Ford performance folks said about the breaks. Also mentioned there was more braking force in Baja mode compared to normal. Could be something to play with. I don't remember about sport but sport mode might also have a stronger brake force I haven't tried comparing since I'm always in sport mode lol but now I may.

I have been using EBC slotted rotors with green stuff pads for years and they work great at a reasonable cost. I have had cars in the past with such kits as StopTech, etc that were ridiculous money. I personally didn't feel it was worth the expense.

EBC has a nice upgrade package that won't break your wallet and they last. All of the parts can be sourced via Summit Racing, Jegs or direct from EBC.

My Gen1 brakes were not great but were way better then the Gen2, not sure why. I upgraded the Rotors to a drilled after market one and it did help enough that I can deal with them for now, still not thrilled.
