Hello Raptor world. Just picked up my 2020 here in CT. Needed to call a bunch of dealers within 300 mile radius for the right spec and discounts, but finally landed my Raptor! Most recently came from a 2019 Wrangler JL. Before that was an 2018 M3, and a 997.2 Porsche 911. Loving the 4x4 thing and this Raptor is fantastic.
first impressions, as I’ve never actually driven one prior to taking delivery:
-the interior was much nicer and luxurious than I was expecting. The seats feel incredibly good and the interior cockpit and center infotainment area looks WAY nicer in person than it does in picture. My wife was anticipating a work like truck and she loves the thing. Score!
- on my 200 mile drive home, I was amazed at how nicely it drove at highway speeds. Perhaps I was just used to the wrangler! On my ride home I would keep looking down and seeing 85MPH and slowing down. You really don’t feel the speed. And it’s incredibly compliant on the highway too. Felt like I could cruise forever.
-I couldn’t get CarPlay to work after trying different phones. Waze would pop up as an app, but no matter what I did I couldn’t get CarPlay to show up. Any ideas? I’ll Jeep playing with it and call the dealer this week.
And also, my raptor gets 60 MPG. I bet none of yours get that. I suppose I should confess that when calculating MPG I use the average from both cars. My wife drives a Volt and doesn’t use gas. I’m here to even things out a bit!!
I’ve learned a lot from you all over the recent times when researching and finding this raptor. Thanks all! Looking forward to this beauty!
