forscan you can reset the transmission learning crap, or you can go the cobb/goosetuned route but i have read that even with that it can have the weird shifting stuff start again later and with forscan you just can just simply reset it or i think you can reflash the cobb tcm and it resets it as well i believe.

Thanks! I am planning on doing the GooseTune with the Cobb transmission tune. I think that should resolve everything :)

Nice Truck!

Regarding your sluggish 3-4 shift: I have, pretty much, the same issue - every time I start my 18 and go directly to drive the 3-4 shift is very sluggish. I've found a work around that prevents it - after starting I put the truck in reverse for a few seconds, then go to drive (3-4 shift now does not hesitate). I think it has something to do with the trans fluid draining out of the shift solenoids/valves when shut down for a while. Going to reverse gets the trans fluid to flow into the valves/solenoids that are lacking the trans fluid after being shut down.

Works for me!

Not sure if this was mentioned or if you have done this, but I would also think about replacing the cabin filter and air filter. Those are relatively easy to do. I also like to change the brake fluid as preventative maintenance. Lastly, on any new truck or car, I like to change my own oil to make sure the levels and type of oil is correct.

I second at least getting the Cobb canned tunes for both motor and transmission, really smoothed out shifting. You can always add a custom tune from Goose down the road if still desired.
