So far, I have 800 miles on the 2012 Super Crew. I like every aspect of this truck except for a concern with the HVAC system as follows:

Living in the desert, I wear sandals instead of shoes 80% of the year. When the AC is set to only push air through the dash vents, there is still some air coming out from the heater vents in the driver's foot well. This can be to the point of really making my feet, uncomfortably cold.

Is this normal for the HVAC system to bleed cold air down n the foot well all the time or is this a defect?

Mine does the same thing, I stuffed a rag down there to keep my feet from freezing.

It does that to help maintain that cabin temp. Actually just about every car does that but usually in small dosages and also help reducing icing on A/C Evap.

Broooo, I wore sandals the whole trip to South Padre from Dallas which was about 10 hours... by the time we got to SPI, I thought my right foot had frostbite, every rest stop I would warm it up, but then 5 mins down the road it would compound the cold back on.

Ever since then, I just wear shoes haha.
