I had the same thing happen 2 times in the last couple weeks. It scared the hell out of my kids!

Happened to me if I plug my phone in before starting the car. Not sure if this was the reason or just coincidence. Next available dealer appointment is in 2 weeks.

This same thing happened to me yesterday. It is loud as AF. I can't believe there was not damage done to the speakers. You can't turn it off. Have to turn truck off and get out.
Yeah, nothing turns it off until you get out of the car and shut the door. Then something resets and it goes away. Pull the fuse if you need to drive somewhere and the sound doesn't go off.

While that happened did you actually try resetting your Sync 4 and did not work? To reset you need hold down Power (or Volume for the Gen3) and Next Track for 5 seconds. I had to do that couple times on my Gen2 while I was driving and it did fix whatever crazy stuff the Sync 3 was going through.

I have a 21' with B&O sound system and ~8000 miles on the truck.

Today, I was driving 1 mile to my gym and a few seconds after I start driving away from my house the sound system starts to act up and had a popping sound through all speakers. I kept driving for a bit and tried to turn the volume down but even at 1 or with the audio "off" the sound continued and got crazier and louder. I had to pull my car over and get out of the car it was so loud. Super dangerous and definitely unhealthy for your ears. Serious safety issue.

I turned the car off, tried to restart the head unit, etc. but no change so I plugged my ears and went back home. I let the car sit for around an hour and got back in with no sound issue anymore. My ears still hurt several hours later...

Through some research, I found that some other 21' f150s with the B&O are seeing this issue since around March.

Tomorrow I am going to contact my dealer to see what is going on and hopefully get this fixed so it doesn't happen again. Also, concerned my speakers might have or could be damaged from this. Again, it was a super loud and popping sound throughout all speakers. It would be very dangerous for this to happen on the highway.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record it as I needed to get out and away from the car as quickly as I could. If it happens again, I will record it.

If this happens to you, remove fuse 28 (Amp) and it will stop.
Have you had any luck getting this resolved? My 21 raptor has done this same exact thing twice on me now. And my dealership isn’t doing much to help me, I also have video proof of it

No luck. They said they escalated it but I haven't heard anything yet. I will keep you updated once I get some more info.

Not exactly the same sound but my fiancé and I were going 75 on the interstate when we got a full blast of what sounded like static gunshots for 3-4 seconds. 100% a safety liability, she no longer feels comfortable driving the truck because of it saying she would have ****** the wheel inadvertently under stress.

30 minutes later and our ears are still ringing. I wish I had been wearing my Apple Watch to get a decibel reading. I used to be a touring musician in a time when ear health wasn’t as considered; and I’ve never had that level of volume at that proximity.

Things worth noting:

iPhone was hardwired

Plugged in after a remote start but before pressing push start

No audio was playing prior, just had CarPlay maps up

The issue happened immediately when I held the voice activation button for Siri (was going to start some tunes)

The sonic assault was about as long as the Siri activation sound

I could not get audio from CarPlay immediately after

Power cycle did not resolve

Only cycling audio sources restored audio

I and my bf had a similar problem with our sound system. We figured out that speaker popping and crackling are caused by interrupted electrical current (audio signals) or, in other words, a loose or dirty connection. We tried to fix it but I had nothing to do but take it to service. Finally, we've got a soundbar. And didn't have the problem again. Got it here btw.
It's true that some producers are doing bad quality goods. But This should not happen to that expensive thing such as cars. What's more, it can be dangerous. As someone here said for children for example. I'll definitely think a bit longer to buy my first Raptor. Who knows which issues can happen else.

Hello. New here. Just got my '22 two weeks ago. I had this same audio issue last Friday. As I started the vehicle, the horn sounded and static was coming from all speakers. I shut the truck down, got out and nothing changed. Drove it straight to the dealer so they could "hear" what was happening. The truck was shut down while at the dealer and after about 10 minutes it stopped and hasn't happened again since. They are completely baffled and said they would look into it. Hopefully this gets resolved because I could see where it could be considered a safety issue.

With all the intelligencia around here I’m shocked and chagrined you are all missing the obvious answer.

Have you not seen the Grammys lately? That is today’s music, my friends. Yep and they hand out awards for it too.
