You realize that sounds even worse, right? :rotflmao:

I get the comments periodically from people asking why I chose to live here. It's funny a lot of Iowan's don't seem to want to be here... I grew up in Georgia and lived in the SE most of my life. I'm tired of the heat and... people. Iowa isn't as hot and there's more corn than people so I like it.

I appreciate all of that. People are overrated.

Hello from Iowa,
I just got my first Raptor which has been my dream truck since they came out. I was in the market for a new truck, this is my third F-150 and fourth Ford Truck overall. I’ve been back and forth between small fast cars and trucks. If money wasn’t an object I’d have a truck and a sports car but that’s not realistic for me at this point. I traded in my 22 BMW M340 for the Raptor, I missed having a truck for the utility and the Iowa winters, it’s actually snowing in the first picture I took. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the truck, I was originally planning on getting a Toyota Tundra TRD Pro but my wife asked if I was sure that was the truck I wanted. Obviously I have had a thing for Raptors for years so I started looking around at the local dealerships. This was the only one on a lot near me so I went and test drove it and I was in love. I didn’t tell my wife until later that evening after a little back and forth about what made the Raptor better than the Tundra, she said let’s go look at it. The rest is history as they say.

Overall the Raptor is pretty perfect, I have done a couple small mods so far, got a Ronin stubby antenna, and had the windows tinted 20% fronts, 55% rears Xpel XR plus ceramic, I also got a cheap center console full size tray.

I don’t have a lot planned for the truck, the first big purchase will be new wheels, I need something not black, I’m not terribly happy with the monochrome look of ALL black so probably going to get some grey or bronze wheels to add some color. Other than that maybe an intake, catch can, ditch lights, a bed cover, and better floor mats, that’s pretty much it.

I did a bit of internet looking and this seemed like the best available Raptor forum so I decided to join.
