Yes it looks like that I read on the other raptor forum of 15 cases similar to mine if ur out of warranty you are screwed also on the other forum it said that ford has revised the part to make up for the incidents and hasn't told anyone word or advice do not use the defroster I'm going to try and battle the dealer and see what the out come is

I read about these issues a while ago on the forum and for that reason have never turned my rear defrost on. Personally I never had the reason to use it. Never saw much ice collecting back there. If you have remote start make sure to disable it there too.

Good call on disabling it on remote start.I did that as soon as I got it.

Exploding rear window leads to ford success

Ok recently my rear window exploded from using the defroster (ford rules) the window didn't look half bad so I contnued to dd it as I have to choose my mustang is on slicks and it's calling for shit weather. Today after picking up my little sister from school I looked out my rear view and saw a ******* peak hole through the glass no big deal arrive at home an start to think of plans to fix the window me and my dumb friends produced this beauty lol
1. Notice problem and get the beer and tape
2. It was broken in a bad way so I tried to pull the big pieces out big mistake they shattered and fell in the truck
3. Angry as **** beat the shit out of the first object I saw and that was my trash can
4. Resume breaking the pieaces and than vacuumed the remains
5. I was left with a solid 2 inches around majority of the window
6. Cut out a cardboard template as backing for the tape and tape in place just luck and a little patience with cutting the template
7. Starting outside in the 8 degree windy ass weather I went vertical from the frame to frame
8. Same as outiside but inside the car same direction
9. Now horizontal on the outside and a shit load of other directions with the tape and the end result I think shall hold well enough pics will be listed below
10. Thanks for reading
And I also saved my stickers
