had to make sure, a lot of people dont realize that it comes set to reading only and you have to go manually change it.

shifter/diffuser....... around here we call them both.

remember, the view you"shifter" has, is how effective it is. so if the sides are blocked it will not work from any angle beyond line of sight

There could be a problem if the laser gun is within 10’, but at that time I would be toast anyway.
100’ and beyond there is no issue.
I performed previous installs with the shifters set back, no problems.
It also cuts down on false warnings around airport.
