Never quite understood guys with giant trucks that think they are somehow fast. I can tell they've never really had any exposure to actual fast cars. In other words, a guy that owns a 911 Turbo along with his Raptor would never generate this thread.
I’m one of those guys, launching my 911 Turbo S isn’t for the faint of heart, fastest car I’ve owned.

Let me just add that my Peterbilt with a 475hp single turbo CAT does 0-60 in 23.2 seconds. My Gen1 is FAST. And I get beat by Hyundai's, Kia's, Schwinn's, and even Prius's quite often. It's even slower if I'm pulling a trailer.:beatdeadhorse5: But I have enjoyed reading the other posts.

My 2017 Raptor tuned was getting consistent 4.3 - 4.5 second 0-60 runs verified. This is pretty damn quick. Obviously I'm spoiled by my Tesla Model S right now, but once my 37 PP gets here I'll be putting whatever monster 93oct tune I can do and expect to see similar results with the 37s. This should keep up with some TRXs depending on sea level elevation - obviously the TRX we've seen stock verified in 3.5 - 3.8sec so that's nuts and is still very fast. My tesla does high 2s to low 3s.. the difference between a bad start for me and 0-60 in 3sec is really unnoticeable in comparison to my old F80 M3 which did 3.7 second which is comparable to a perfect TRX run so it's not widely different in feeling in my mind.

Tuned Raptor will make all the difference.. if speed is what you want. Everyone's different, different strokes. I don't have tons of trails to pick from here where I'm at so I do enjoy modifying for straight line speed just cuz its enjoyable. I don't hate the TRX, in fact I really wanted one. I'm happy I didn't now that I see them available under invoice, I would have had to pay ADM when I first looked at them.. at least with the Raptor I've already basically gained 20k in invisible equity before I've taken possession.

Edmunds video.
They all do 5.8s on the 0-60. Raptor is on 37 so you can assume 35 would be a bit faster.

Good post. One thing I'd add is that if you run into a modded TRX, all bets are off

tuned on e50 and I still think that the truck needs twice the HP/TQ to be considered solidly quick.

From my experience of what fast really means, the truck is not fast, its "quick" but not fast.

Then again, ford raptors are designed to be a fantastic performer in a specific off road category.

How can you expect a 6000+ pound truck with a freight train air dam in front to compete with a 3000 pound car sitting almost on the pavement?

The extra weight of the off road frame mods and suspension weigh more than the car!

Well here's a successful Raptor vs SUV story

It's snowing it's balls off here in the Mid Atlantic area, but wasn't quite sticking yet. My (stock) Gen2 was on 4A and I raced a new X3. He had been following me for awhile and we finally got a red light together.

I just stomped it when it turned green. Zero wheel spin. We were neck to neck to 70 and then I started pulling on him

At the next light, we were both cracking up
