My 2023 RaptorR order

Update: Ford and dealers seem to have changed how orders go.

My dealer is getting 6 23MY Raptor R's

July 18th my dealer contacted me and said order banks were open and what color, options did I want. I had assumed the orders were placed that day but turns out they did not get actual allotments at that point. Wednesday July 27th their rep told them they would be getting 6 Raptor R's. Dealer called me to say since I was #3 on list I should be getting one.

At that time I thought it was a done deal but were going by what rep told them.

RaptorR orders are unlike anything else I have seen.

The actual allotments appear to be different from what the rep has told dealers.

It does sound like actual Allotments started to happen last week with R #1 being submitted and today R #2
I will post again once dealer says Allotment for my truck is actually submitted.

So many dealers placing orders without proper Allotment so it appears.
Getting something from ford about a order simply does not mean you will actually get one without dealer getting the proper allotment.

Only thing that would change is if I cannot come up with $ by the time truck comes in.

Getting something from ford about a order simply does not mean you will actually get one without dealer getting the proper allotment.

Okay. This has been happening with the regular G3 since it came out and is well documented. Now magnify that 100x for the stupidity/lies from dealers for the elusive R. I applaud your optimism and faithfulness in your relationship with your dealer.

Notice the “official allocation “ comment which happened to dealer #1 last week #2 this week. Awaiting to hear from dealer for official #3 allocation for my order.

I honestly hope you get it. I hope everyone that really wants one gets one. I think supply will come up short of expectations, orders will get pushed out and go unfilled. I never did get my 37pp I ordered, and had to buy off the lot with an ADM. I want to be wrong on this, but I think there will be a lot of disappointment with the rollout of the Raptor "R".

I am sure there will be plenty of R “orders” not fulfilled i just hope i will not be one of them. I am pretty confident my truck will be built. Wish i had a ballpark of when. Could be a couple months or even 6 mo or a year. I do think it will be prior to July 1, 2023.

My brother ordered a ‘22 Mach1 last December & never did get it. Turns out dealer playing games never had allocation. Did get his 5k deposit back.
Another good friend ordered a Maverick early February and just got word it’s being built this month, another ordered a ‘22 Transit 4x4 and no word yet.
Brother in law ordered new Bronco day order bank opened it took 1 yr to the day.

Gut feeling i will hear something in next 60 days on my R.

Things are a bunch different than prior years for MY23
