I am trying to follow along here, so the dealer told you they are replacing the long block and other parts at their costs? Plus guaranteeing the transmission “if it goes out down the road”?
That doesn’t sound horrible except it will take a few days. Obviously something in writing from the GM is mandatory.
Did you feel like you got a good deal on the truck originally? If so, stay persistent. A good shop can set you up with a nice used truck.
