Mine is optimistically off by about 2 MPG every time I check it also. Has been that way since day one and I now have nearly 12k miles on it.

You would think that the computer would be extremely accurate. It knows how much fuel it is putting into the engine via the injectors, and it also knows distance.

My only theory as to how it is so far off is maybe it is only calculating MPG when the truck is actually moving. So when you are stopped and idling, all that fuel it uses does not get calculated into its MPG reading. I suspect that this would be easily verified by allowing the auto stop/ start feature to do its thing, but its so annoying to me that I always keep it off, so I couldn't say if that is the culprit or not.

My first Gen 1 raptor would be off by a mpg. Second one is actually fairly accurate.

Think it's due to idling/stopped traffic. Cause now I get to work way before rush hour and the calculated MPG is close to real MPG.

I've never seen a Ford that gave a readout on the dash that's lower than hand calculated MPG. I've seen it be within a tenth of a MPG, and I've seen it about 2 MPG off at worst.

My Raptor seems to ignore remote start run time. If it idles for 10 minutes everyday on cold mornings- the readout should be lower than when you parked it, but it never is.

My first gas since the dealer fill. 24.9 gallons, 434.9 miles. 17.3 mpg. Dash said 15.3 avg. I’m more impressed with this thing every time I drive it.
