Jesus- it's a sad day when a Chevy Colorado performs better off road than a Raptor. The Ram too, ugh.

I gotta put some stock in what they are saying, this wasn't just a few hours in each truck in one particular location. They spent multiple days in each truck on all kinds of rough roads and the results were consistent. Raptor does better than both on road, and was not as good as either off road.

Given the reason most people buy the Raptor and how they drive it, this is actually a great review. Toughest looks and the best on road behavior. Win-win. Hard core off roaders don't drive stock trucks, so does it really matter?

Really? How were they better?

They were able to go in a straight line.

The denial here is strong. Look, they're good trucks, and better than most in a ton of ways, so it's O.K. if they aren't perfect. Like me just accept the problem and if you think it will bother you, then plan to do something about it when you get yours. A lot of people are perfectly O.K. with it from the dealer or if it's a problem they're able to air down enough so it isn't obvious.

Remember that the first thing Foutz did with his was to add weight and swap the springs and shocks.

I have a 13 Raptor and test drove a zr2 and a 17 Raptor back to back. The zr2 is a nice truck but isn't in the same league as the 17 Raptor. There is a $19k price difference and many might go with a zr2 because of it. I hate to say this but the gen2 is probably 25 percent better than my gen1. I'm not planning on trading, as my gen1 will be in my driveway for many years to come.
