I'm not joking when I say that the truck feels like the dyno graph. It's unreal.

It has torque that rivals a diesel for God's sake.

The power delivery is so darn smooth too.

These guys are the masters. The transmission algorithms are as good as the power enhancements too.

They posted dyno graph on website: 2017 Raptor Ecoboost 3.5 nGauge Tuner Gauge w/ 3 MPT Tunes | MPT Performance

Just as I predicted, almost a 200ftlb increase in torque low/mid range with the tune. Sweet mother of all things holy...

It's taking every ounce of my soul not to pull the trigger on this. Wife drives the truck a lot, and that makes me nervous.

Omg... I'm in the same boat as a few of you state. Don't really want to chance warranty, but mpt states if you put the stock file back, its untraceable.

Could this be true? I've always been told that a tune, assuming they go deep into the ECU forensics, will be traceable. If it is traceable, how about this scenario? You use this tune, but when the FP tune finally comes out you switch to that. Would they be able to discern that there was a tune on top of a tune, or would they just see the latest?

Guys I have the tune it's as guy says it's the tune I've seen, period. The transmission work they did is worth it alone.

Jay,

You notice how when you're rolling at say 45mph... and you let off the gas to coast... the tranny is so smart it'll actually upshift a gear or two to let you coast freely.... then the minute you touch the throttle it's back in business. It's those little subtle things that separate the men from the boys.

I think someone should put it in writing exactly what the effects of installing a tune are to your factory warranty. Just to make it perfectly clear, and make it a sticky. I'm not the one to do it, I am not that literate...

You guys are killing me. My nGauge is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, so I paid the extra $35 hoping I can email them what they need Thursday night and they can send me my tunes by the close of business on Friday to test over the holiday weekend.

One quick question ...... since these are performance tunes, how do the RPMs look under very mild acceleration? Maybe I am asking for a lot, but I would be soooo happy if the truck quickly upshifts without lugging it under very light loads and keeps the RPMs as low as possible. On the flips side, I would also like the transmission to respond fairly quickly under moderate to heavy acceleration and let the RPMs go where they need to. I am very pleased to hear that it won't behave like Sport mode and maintain much higher RPMs than needed when you are done accelerating and let off the gas. I understand this is ideal for racing situations, but it isn't necessarily what I want for an occasional stab of the throttle on the way to work.

What you just described as your dream transmission tune....

Is what you're getting. You'll not have a single complaint.

I've been down this road. It does nothing to your warranty. If you have a failure they MUST prove it was the tune without a shadow of a doubt but they must also know you had one. Either way, I have fought and won a battle with another dealership, it was slightly painful but worth it. They can't just say naw the warranty is voided and tell you to **** off. If they prove the tune was the cause and your independent says the same. You are buying the replacement of whatever you broke. That simple.
