Ford App is a cloud solution which is no go. Same issue I don't always have connectivity but with my carrier it is 98% of a solution. Better than there replacement. That is just wrong!@!
That looks to be the case per Ford docs. If it worked with just the BT connection, I'd be good. But I'm not installing the stalkerware(Fordpass) and I'm going to disable the modem. Those are given. If Ford wants to sell my privacy, they can compensate me for it. I won't give it away. And yes, since you ask, I routinely put my phone in airplane mode to make it harder for Apple and Verizon to stalk me. The phone is for me to make calls, not for anyone to bother me at any time for no good reason. Voicemail has a purpose.

Since my two favorite features are the key(801a FTW) and the keypad, keeping my 2020 another year is looking really good. Let's see what '26 brings. I can always buy a '25 if mine ***** the bed.

I really don’t care much about the keypad, and I don’t love the way it looks. I wonder if I can have the dealer not install it or install on the back of the cab, where it would be less conspicuous. The truck is supposed to arrive next week. I probably should make a phone call

The key pad looks like a peel and stick from an auto parts store. No way I would put that on any vehicle. Ford should have just increased the price to maintain the current one or deleted it.

Crazy that Ford would think that's acceptable on any of their vehicles. Oh let's showcase this option at an auto show.

Rant over!

Dealer is installing my 2025 keypad today. It's a pillar install. I'll post photos after the install.

I have a '24 so I am good for now, but in the future I would like to have one like on the Mrs. Aviator. It is imbedded in the pillar panel and you do not see it until touch the pillar and it lights up.

So it will look like every other A pillar mounted keypad. So much whining in here without an actual image to show the actual keypad until you.

The hands down best Ford feature vs any other manufacturer is the keypad. The app is gay if you’re out using the thing outside phone service area as it was intended. Raptor should have a blue tooth option when cell service is not available if they really want to even consider doing away with door code.

I was planning on ordering a 2025 until hearing about the deletion of the keypad and unknown solution. Instead, I found a deal on a 2024 and made sure I could get the key pad that I think is one of the best features on a Ford truck. I use it daily.

Please do post the images. I asked my dealer to hold off on the install when my truck comes in. I thought it was going on the door and I wasn't sure how it would look. I may have them go ahead and install it
