a good trick is drill a hole in the tubing and fill it with foam to keep the noise transfer to a minimum

Everybody thinks the expanding foam is a good idea till they have to work on a truck that's had it done. Would not recommend it.......

It doesn't work well in tubing, it can actually remain liquid in the middle until the day you need to make some changes to your cage. DON'T DO IT! The acoustical benefits are too little to justify all the associated problems. If you just can't help yourself, then at least buy the 2 part type of foam. It comes in a box and I don't think they sell it at home depot. I'm sure McMaster-Carr carries it.

Seriously this install is sexy and badass!! I agree with everyone - the seats are perfection, the cage is well designed, and the black finish on the tubes is icing on the cake. Great job on the rear area and the subwoofer. Get an LCD monitor and setup surround sound in the truck. The back seat rider will have the best seat in the house!

Nice job keeping the factory seat belts. I think that will make this a better on-road driver.

If I could manage at least 50/50 on-road/off-road, I would want your mod in a heartbeat!

Can you share the total cost?

Appreciate all the comments guys! It's been a big undertaking to get this latest project done but it's finally getting to the rewarding stage now that it's all coming together. It's crazy how much work you put into something that you really never intend on using. Although, the harness belts are going to be huge offroad. You're able to use the steering wheel to steer as opposed to steadying yourself and steering.

Still don't have a total cost isurvive and to be honest, I really don't want to tally everything up. Was definitely more expensive than originally intended...

I have no intention of ever adding up all the costs for my build either, it provides "Plausible Deniability" when the wife asks how much :laughing1:

Guys, I totally respect your desire to put the total cost behind you!! I myself have not added up my spend on the Raptor so far. I promise it was worth every penny!

Go forth and build!!

Finally got around to getting the bed rack finished up. One of the best features of the YETI is you can strap it down and still maintain the functioning lid without any unstrapping. It'll be nice having the added weight in the rear considering the the spare is always towards the front of the bed.
