I'm flexible on dates. Best time is spring breach around late March but that for the better half. The two proposed dates work as my wife may just fly in.

We will be back in the area in June as we are going to a wedding in CO.

The week before easter is the Easter Jeep Safari. I would bet that if you want a small intimate group, that you will want to avoid that week.
However, if you want experienced locals that know the trails, they welcome any type of Four Wheel drive vehicle.

We were in Moab during EJS 2015 and while it was more packed than usual (especially the restaurants) the trails I ran like White Rim were not bad at all. Only a few people. Each day there were trail hot spots and some closures but nothing too major. Potato Salad was mostly locals in their beat up trucks.

I do agree that time is not ideal for a Raptor run it was the best time for us. Then I told my wife about how she may not be able to go if it's in Feb. and without pause she said she will take the time off. Hell with the kids who want to learn!
