Wait, what? Gen1 trucks 2010-2014 were sold without warranty because nobody ever needed one. I read right here on FRF that the Jennifer simply never had any problems.

surely, you jest.

LOL Well, maybe ol’ ‘squatch can step in here and spew her vitriol so we can get the “facts” as she determines them...

......... seems like this pesky misfire is back....

I have removed my vta mod, changed plugs to factory ones and gapped to .026 and also changed all coils around to narrow down if I have a faulty coil???????

it only misfires at WOT when boost goes above 18ish lbs.

misfires are random on remote start at times and sometimes I have none, but the moment I go WOT they start popping up specifically on Cyl 5. As of today it got to the point where I racked up 20 misfires on Cyl 5 in 3 separate back to back WOT pulls from about 40 to 70 mph. these plugs have maybe 200 miles on them and they are the stock coils (that have recently been swapped around cylinders randomly).

does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm running @wgr73 E50 pro-tune with no issues whatsoever thus far minus this similar one a few months ago.

Im about to upgrade my IC and install a 170 degree thermostat at the end of the week and would like to get this sorted out so that I can take advantage of my new stage 2 hardware. I did order the 1 step colder spark plugs gapped to .028 that were in the truck at the time of the initial tuning of my pro-tune. those plugs did have about 12k miles on them until the recent oem swap about 200 miles ago.

any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Totally possible it's a coil. Just had a guy have a coil go out last week! Swap the coil from cyl 5 to a different cylinder and see if it follows!

@wgr73 funny you mention that because that's exactly what I did this afternoon before this post. I'm not getting a CEL or anything but definitely popping misfires like crazy on the Cobb AP

@wgr73 sent you some DL's to look at when and or if you have a chance. I will be tearing everything apart again to re-inspect spark plugs and ensure each and every one has a gap of .028 and will verify them again just to be overly sure. I will also take out the sensors that get soaked in oil and clean them as well.
