Why pull the grey wire? Why not just add the jumper? The jumper will add the constant power when the grey wire cuts power at 5 mph.

The Ford tech working on my truck said you "have to remove the grey wire, or it back feeds to the BCM".

I just recently did this but kept the grey wire in and added the jumper with the grey wire and 1 slot wire. I didn't have to disconnect the green box plug either and literally took about 5 minuets. I shouldn't have any problems electrical wise i wouldn't think?

What about using a one way diode as the jumper?
Does anyone know what the 12v source is actually for? Just curious.
