I did the same thing. I also put two d ring mounts on the floor in the back of the screw (had to bolt them through the floor to a backing plate). Worked well in Baja. Makes the floormat stick up slightly, but functionality overrules that in my book.

Of course not! Its always the "15 minute projects" that turn into 2 hours. You will just need to grind off the bolt washer and run it under the D-ring bracket.

If you saw Ironmans thread, just removing the bed bolts can be a project in itself.

The brackets themselves are very nice and solid and will certainly work to hold your tire/wheel down for the Snoball. :favorites13:
