milk shake in my oil catch can, everything else is clean..?

Like the title states, i have an oil catch can, and every couple of weeks i check it to empty it, and inside is like chocolate milk. I have changed the oil, which is very normal looking, no coolant loss, no smoke on start up or driving or loss in power.

is this simply oil trapped in the catch can some how getting some kind of water in it too and turning it into this?

anyone else have this issue?

8 years of collecting oil.
I don't have a recent pic of 10 years.
I've since put it all in a Snapple bottle.
Very little oil but I use Mobil 1 Extended performance oil.

Most of that crap comes from the winter months with the crappy winter blend fuel they sell us.

Its normal, there is condensation in the crankcase just like you find coming out your tailpipes. Vaporizes, gets caught in the catch can with the oil, which is cold. The vaporized water condenses forming an emulsion and you get "milkshake".

Don't sweat it - like these other guys said, that's normal - especially during frequent, short trips during cooler/colder weather.

Yes, we all have this milky oil in our catch cans. That's WHY we have catch cans. Can you imagine all this junk going through your motor ??

I have run the Moroso oil catch can on my GEN1 for 37,000 miles and I get really dark fluid that simply looks like very dirty motor oil. No chocolate milkshake here.

I get nothing in the middle of the summer.
A little in the spring and fall with the temperature changes.
I'd say 85% is from the winter.
