Greetings,

My beast (SCAB) is still a baby - only 2 weeks - and less than 600 miles, but I noticed something quite weird after only 2 tanks filled. Two days ago in the evening my display was showing 60 miles to empty. In the morning it showed only 10 miles to empty - displaying Low Fuel. Then I start driving to my preffered gas station Costco (about 10 miles) and after 1 mile of driving it showed gas left 5 miles to empty. Pulled over to another station and tanked only 3 Gal to get me to Costco and display showed 110 miles to empty. I tanked to Costco full and display showed 365 miles to empty...OK!. After driving it on a highway - no stops - at only 60 mph, after only 4 miles, the display showed like I used gas for 8 miles - with 357 miles to empty. Now...I know this Raptor loves sucking gas...and that is OK within some expected limits which I am comfortable (wrote another posting on mileage on my way to NOVA)...but something is not right here guys!

Anybody else experienced a similar situation? Did something get screwed and needs to be reset? Initially when I picked it up in NY and drove her to NOVA about 400 miles...consumtion and display vs. reality was better than expected and display showed realtime consumption accurate.

I know mine gets all jacked up when I park at home since I have a rather steeply sloped driveway and I back in so I am nose down while parked.

My mileage will differ greatly from when I park to when I leave in the AM due to it's angle of pitch, especially if I let it warm up nose down. For a little bit after I leave home the readings are a bit off, I don't worry about it. My Explorer was the same way.. if I left it nose down the needle would go WAY down.. something about the sensor location. My old VW was the exact opposite.. nose down was good, nose up was bad.

Personally I wouldn't sweat it, sounds perfectly normal and right on target with what I have experienced with my Fords for the last 15+ years.
