Sounds like a great trip. I’m in Vegas and all I do now is Hike and Wander the Desert in my Raptor. Give me a shout and I can show you some Great Trails in and around Vegas. There is some OUTSTANDING Runs out at Lake Mead.
The offer is good for anyone coming to Vegas anytime. I’ve been Wheeling here for 30 years.
IMHO I would make adjustments to the SoCal part of the journey and head to Death Valley!! It’s the PERFECT time for DV. It has over 1500 miles I believe of 4x4 Trails I ran my Gen-1 across the Desert there at 100mph(Fnig Govner)

I appreciate the offer and I know there's a lot to explore out in that general region. I'm doing a two-week loop and visiting a lot of family and friends at most of my stops, so can't make too many alterations, and I'll have limited time to be off-roading. Just wanted to do a little bit and check out a few of the deserts. Hoping to move back out to Phoenix in the next year or two and have a lot more time to explore

Jean Nevada has the mint 400 running through it. I played there 2 weeks ago and is about 30 mins south of Vegas. Jean Lake is a nice dried up lake bed that you can open it up on as well. The fox proving grounds is located here along with a run called “thumper”. Pretty fun stuff. No issues with the pano roof.
