Is that bedcage bolt on? I m interested in a bed cage suspension set up, where i live welding labor is cheap and know some guys very good in welding, let me know if that bed cage can be sell out the chop thanks

Hey Man, the bed cage is a complete fab'd piece that RPG makes to go with the 3.5 shocks. it is bolt in and all you need to do is cut holes in the bed to fit the shocks through and give RPG a bit PHAT check and this can system can be yours....

So I did not make it to TRR, well I was there but my truck was not... I was packing the truck to leave Thursday morning and i noticed a lot of oil dripping out of my rear end (not what she said :-()

Took it back to TMX and found that the bearing had spun and I had wrecked the race and thus the entire rear end assembly was toast..

So now without even driving it we are off on another and now final round of upgrades.....

4. New Meats.....

So far I like them, a little nobby from like 1-3mph due to bigger lugs, but overall performance is great and the road noise isn't terrible.

Axle bearing, pinion bearing or carrier bearing ?
I've killed all three on mine, and it did not scrap the rear end...
I'm guessing pinion bearing due to improper preload shimming when you had the new gears installed.

It was the pinion bearing for sure, and it was installed properly but apparently you are meant to wear the bearing in for around 500 miles before you put any load on it.

So pulling a sick burnout right after they were finished may not have been the best idea.

And the race is toast. And as this is cast piece there is no way to fix it other then maybe a sleeve or something. I wanted a stronger option anyway so this just tipped me over the edge.

Are you going back to 4WD?

not sure yet.. the new long travel front is fully compatible with 4wd. but the new CV joints are very $$$$$$$$$$....

might just deal with the 2wd and push on...
