Update - as of 6/4, it was not simply plug 'n play - http://www.fordraptorforum.com/1270234-post21.html

On the oil leak thread, someone mentioned Ford shifted from a plastic to metal oil pan sometime in late February 2018.

I’ve ordered a metal one to put on my 2017; will report back if it doesn’t work.

hi bro, thanks for the information. I have the same problem with my 2017 ford raptor (plastic oil pan leaks). Could you please let me know your experience with switching oil pan and how/where do I order that metal oil pan for my 2017 ford raptor?
Thank you!

Are you still under the 5yr/60k powertrain warranty? The leak is not the result of the plastic oil pan as many on here have come to assume; it is the result of the surfaces not being prepped properly during assembly. The RTV dries, but it doesn’t adhere to the surfaces, which causes the leak.

Ford changed the assembly process in the plants and released a new service procedure for the dealers to properly reseal the oil pan. The procedure is very detailed and has the technician etch the engine block sealing surface with a metal surface prep wipe for adherence. If the procedure is followed, you won’t have a repeat leak.

It’s more than the pan that is needed. I had problems early with my 17 but I have had no problems since they repaired it with the new procedure. I agree with Ford tech one; if it’s under warranty let them put a new plastic one one. I have about 20,000 miles on the repair.

Eat a **** you never even had the issue. Mine was resolved for manny miles now. I actually have the whole oil pan conversion here sitting under my house collecting dust because I was convinced it would leak again.

Ignore the clown known as Kuan he is a known Raptor troll who does not own a raptor and only seeks to harm its reputation. Probably works for Ram. If the repair is done correctly it will not leak has been my experience. Good luck
