Well you know what they say, "Never buy the first year of a newly updated vehicle". Or in a lot of cases on this forum, don't buy the second year either. Wait until the third when Ford decides to finally make changes to make the truck actually feel likes it worth the $70k price tag.

No kidding. My 2017 has 16k miles and I was offered $500 under what I paid (MSRP) on a trade in.
I think the MSRP increases have helped trade in values. Too bad I don't want to upgrade.

And I'm keeping my original oil pan. Fuel savings with the weight reduction.

Owners of 11/12 benefited greatly from price increases and strong resale values on the gen1s. There was a member on here who bought a new truck every year and lost virtually nothing. If this keeps up I may upgrade after 2-3 years. I'm loving my current truck so I don't see any need right now.

Sub'd. I've KBB'd my truck and on a private sale I've made about 6K on my truck with 12k miles on the clock and a profit on a dealer trade in too.

On a note similar to this thread, I recently sent my VIN to my parts department seeing if there was an updated part # for my '17 pan and it was the same. Was thinking of making a oil pan leak claim to get the new pan.

If it weren’t for the stuff I’ve already added onto the truck, this would be a tempting option for me. But just the tint and front end clear wrap is $2000 that I not only can’t get back, but would have to spend again on the new truck. Then there’s the process of removing my BD fogs, BD backup lights, Bakflip, dash cam, and reinstalling all of it on the new truck all of which boils down to making me content with my crappier blue shocks.
