Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Raptor (2021 model). I’m noticing a metal screeching or stretching sound when steering the wheel at medium to low speeds (15-25 kmh) during tighter turns.
Here’s some context:
• This same issue happened a few months ago after I went offroading on a particularly bumpy road. At that time, I took it to the dealer, and they claimed it was a “software issue”. They updated something, and the noise went away. However, with a tiny click instead when steering which was weird but I didn't pay attention to.
• Recently, I went offroading again, and now the sound is back. It feels almost identical to the last time.
I’ve read a bit online, and I suspect it could be something related to the IWE system, suspension components, or maybe something with the steering itself. But I’m not sure how a software update fixed it before, which makes me wonder if something else is going on.
Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Any ideas on what it could be or what I should ask the dealer to check? I’m planning to take it back, but I’d like to have a better understanding this time before I go in.
Thanks in advance!
