Mine is a 19 as well. I have left the truck in accessory mode for hours. The message MAY go away for a day or two, but then come back again. Also sometimes I get the message in the morning, do nothing, and then not get it in the afternoon when I start the truck again. I am going to the dealer in a week or so and will bring it up then.

Good advise if you feel like wasting your life away doing things that may never, ever actually work.

A few things.

1) Plenty of cases where the system simply will not update via wifi
2) The Hotspot function may be different, but you're missing the point. The hotspot function works by bridging to a cellular modem with a data plan. There is NO reason why the data plan cannot be used.
3) The update function is glitchy, especially the "auto update" waiting around in a location that has wifi when by your own admission it could take days, is shit advise. Use a USB stick or take it into the dealer and have them flash it with the latest version.

The update is indeed glitchy, so just let it go with the WiFi update enabled and it will clear itself. I’ve had it happen to me as well. You can certainly take it to a dealer for them to f*ck with it and live with the other things they f*ck up while there. I recommend you just drive it off a cliff and hope for the best. That’s what you’re doing asking for advise on this f*cked up forum anyway. There are too many idiots jabron? who are under their own impression that they’re “smart”. Good luck.

Going to the dealer to fix a Sync update is equivalent to driving your truck off a cliff? All you did here is make yourself the prime example of what is ****** up about the advise given on this forum.

There are 2 actual issues here:

1. Its stupid that the 2019 truck's Sync system can not use the built in 4G service to perform the update and that you must connect to a different network

2. There is some kind of bug or something either preventing full completion of the update or not recognizing that the Sync has the current version. I've got this same issue. Sync itself says its on latest version, I can connect to wifi for an hour or more, yet I will still get the message on next start up.

Same issue as others. Please post on here if anyone has any luck getting rid of this when dealer does it.

I have connected numerous times and also set up the Hotspot though ATT. Thought that might clear it up but no, all that works but message still Pops up every day. Nothing on ford owner to update. 1/2 the time it now freezes the whole screen until I restart power after letting it sit for 10 minutes.

I turned off automatic updates in the menu and I no longer get the message. Then, if you want to check for updates, you can connect to Wi-fi and use the "check for updates" button. The sirius radio still updates.
