i am gonna mount mine on the drivers side. same way so thank you for details on how you did it.

If you have the tech pkg, then you can't mount it on the driver's side (due to radar). Just something to be aware of.

Yep, that's what I have, too, and when I removed the lower grill cover (which includes those two plastic bumper pads), both sides are clear of any electronics.

I hope you don't have ACC. The sensor is on the driver's side.

I see you are in So Cal, too. I have to park my truck on the streets of Santa Monica often and will get nailed in a heartbeat w/out a front plate. Maybe OC is more tolerant.

Just go without plates. Keep you "paper plates" (dealer advertisement - license plate size) on your truck and the temp registration in the lower right corner of the windshield (and keep your truck looking new) and you can go plate-less for years (I've gone as long as 2 years without plates) here in Kalifornia.

Yea ive gotten tickets parked from the meter maids in Venice for no front plate. 25 bucks a pop.

That’s great for you, but, it’s a moving violation in some states; moving violations raise your insurance rates.

Been in California for 2 years. None of my vehicles have front license plates and I haven't had a problem yet. Maybe it's just San Diego County.
