Not sure if I should get it. I want my exhaust to have a deep tone. But from what I've read there's a lot of drone people are experiencing. Now my questions are:

1.
Those that do have it how bad is the in cab drone?

2.
How much louder is it compared to stock? (I've seen so many videos and I'm afraid it doesn't do it justice when comparing)

Any info will be appreciated!

im happy with mine. Loud as **** when I stomp on it. Sounds like a nascar. I think every exhaust has a complaint of drone from a cheap turndown to the rousch kit.

(someone will say not mine no way but research it and someone else will say different)
Mine is a short term exhaust until I decide what im doing for performance.

For some reason I think I lost a bit of power but it may be in my head. Loss of some back pressure? I don't know.

I bought the MBRP cat-back. I now have it for sale after almost being used for 3 weeks. My wife has sensitive ears and didn't like the drone. I didn't think it was that bad except at a small RPM window. With the cat-back, it includes an MBRP resonator in 3.5". I'm going to try the Corsa now. Hopefully is suites the Mrs. better. I went from the no-sound FX4 6.2L, go the MBRP, so it was a change for her. Not real loud outside, but it's because the tone is so deep it doesn't appear as loud. I now have the MBRP for sale. Not enough post count to put it in the classifieds, but contact me if you might be interested. I suppose you make it into a turndown. If no one on here wants it, I may list it on Ebay. I have a few inside and outside sound clips if you want to hear it. I need to set up a You Tube account.

I love mine. I have videos on YouTube. The wife likes it. Drone is variable. I don't think it's that bad. The hum of the tires isn't that bad. Buy it from a vendor and if you don't like it someone on here will buy it from you.

Make sure you break it in before you decide you don't like it.

I bought my mbrp turndown through gotexhaust.com I think they are one of the frf vendors. They had the best price an fast shipping. The exhaust sounds really really deep. It is just like any other aftermarket exhaust the drone somewhat varies but it doesnt bother my wife so I would say if it doesnt bother her you should be ok. She is somewhat annoyed by most aftermarket exhaust.

Talking about drone is like talking about spicy chips. "Ohhh, they're too spicy" or "they're not spicy enough". Drone is in the ear of the beholder. Internal resonance is not necessarily an undesirable thing. I like it. If you ride in my truck, you might not like it.

I like spicy. :pepper:

Exactly that's why I'm having so much trouble I wish I knew someone with the exhaust. But I guess for the price I could take a gamble at it.

I really like my MBRP turndown with resonator. Sounds absolutely amazing at WOT. Personally, I don't perceive any drone. What I do hear is a lot of sound reflecting off the ground and up into the bed and then transmitted into the cab. If you're overly concerned, I would absolutely not do a turndown exhaust. I chose it because aesthetically it's the only type of exhaust that looks good with dovetailed bedsides. That and nobody makes a lightning style exhaust that's reasonably priced and doesn't require extra hangers to be welded on to prevent the pipes from falling off the truck during hard off-roading.
