I am going to go ahead and get the mbrp turndown exhaust.

Which one will last longer, the stainless more expensive one, or the aluminum one?

Will one rust faster than the other?

I would think the cheaper aluminum wouldn't rust as fast as the stainless but that's because I don't know jack shit

Aluminum don't rust, but I'm guessing the stainless one is just stronger.

Yeah that's what I was confused about. I would think the longer lasting one would be the more expensive one.

Just get the cheaper one. If it rusts, buy another! or an excuse to buy a full SW one day!

In all seriousness, im not in a place where rust is really an issue but i can say that the aluminum one is very solid and I love mine.

I got the aluminized one and then coated with high temp header paint. There's a thread here by bird man which is where I got the idea.

The aluminized will eventually rust and isn't as strong as the stainless. The stainless mbrp offers in the turndown will pit but it will be primarily on the surface. I would go stainless in a climate with snow, and possibly aluminized in a warmer area.

I bought the stainless one. Although it is a little more money than the aluminized version it is still a pretty cheap exhaust. Pretty happy with mine.
