Is anyone running this setup? I will be installing a Magnaflow Exhaust next week, I am thinking of getting the Roush CAI and later the 5 star tuner

My dealer advised me with the Roush they would not expect it to have been tuned and I should have zero warranty issues

You don't NEED to have the engine tuned with any of the intakes. The tuner allows you to get the most out of the intake though. The nice thing about the Roush intakes is that dealers will usually install them as it's a subsidy of Ford and it won't void the warranty.

As far the combination I would say you will happy with how it turns out and you will definitely see an increase in performance.

Do you guys have any experience with this, or have heard of it happening? I didn't know that Rousch was a subsidiary of Ford, I just knew that they had a pretty close relationship. I wrote Rousch off their website (I can't remember the exact email address right now, but I'm sure it was a generic sales or technical support) and asked how it would affect the warranty. The response I got was straightforward- any CAI can void the warranty. They didn't qualify it with "Rousch doesn't tend do..." or anything.

I was disappointed because I was planning on getting a Rousch simply to help protect the warranty. If you guys know that Ford tends to not void it because of the Rousch CAI then I will probably still get one.

I talked with my dealer, I decided to get the Roush Exhaust and CAI, they will install my Exhaust, but will not install the CAI due to potential problems with the
MAF sensor, it will NOT void my warranty but if it causes the MAF sensor to be replaced that would be on me, everything else will continue to be warranted
So this I will do

Yes they are cool with Roush :peace:

I just know that a dealership would be much more prone to putting on a Roush intake as compared to others since Roush and Ford are so close...

If something were to happen, they would try to find a way to get out of paying for your warranty work. You would however be much safer going with Roush and the dealer installing it as far the warranty not being voided.

Thanks. I think that's the route I'm going to go.

Just keep the stock parts. If something happens put it back on. Takes 10 minutes to put it back to stock. I have had intakes on every car I own and never had a problem. If you are going to do the roush just put in a k&n filter in the stock box. The roush still has the accordion plastic in it, and the whole point is to get rid of that. Yeah they say the roush still has a bigger diameter but your motor if it's stock doesn't need it, even if you have a cat back. I would do a cat back, K&N filter in stock box and a can tune. New filter is 45 bucks and will flow just as good as the roush. Is 300 bucks worth 5 hp, that's half of a manga flow or 3/4 of a tune. Either one will be better then the roush.

Thanks,

I ordered the Roush Exhaust and CAI, it will stay under warranty with my dealer so no worries on that.

Yeah now lets see if any of you guys can get your dealer to put it in writing that it won't void the warranty.
