Did you look into putting a fuel tank and transfer pump in the box instead of a can rack?

Sorry for the delay. I put a bead of silicone around the caps so I didn't want to pull it off...But since you asked twice. :favorites13:

What you cant see it that the width of the mounting point is the same width as the grooves in the bed. Additionally, I grinded a tapered edge on both sides so it literally fits like a glove flush with the bed. And as you can see, I used the stock bed bolts to secure.

Thanks. No, I like the mobility of the cans. And depending on the trip, I can exchange a water can instead of 2 gas cans.

Why is it siliconed?

Just to secure them in place so they dont pop off. I had to notch them to fit flush around the caps since one side has a cross bar welded to it. I also figured it could only help keep moisture out of the cap.
