Was looking at getting a 40" light bar and was looking at either rigid or m and r. M and R seems to be quite a bit cheaper. Anyone had experience with both of these? Are they both just as durable & do they have the same light output? Sorry if this has already been posted.

I can't speak to the light output comparison, but i have the M&R 20" and the M&R 6" lights and they are solid, i can't see or haven't had any issues with build or durability. And i can say the lights are bright, they put out a lot of light, but i have not compared the light output with any Rigid lights.

Personally I would not go with Rigid they seem to be hit or miss and don't like to get wet.

I'm happy with my 20” M&R LED Bar quality and its light output, and they have been wet numerous times. I haven’t heard of anybody having an issue with their M&R product either, but I have seen my fair share of posts with RIGID having issues with water getting into their lenses, but supposedly they have resolved those issues. Though all claim RIGID has excellent customer service. I just have a hard time spending almost 2Xs the price for like products.

I have the Rigid 40" bar and I absolutely love it. My dad is about to purchase a 30" for his truck because of how well my Rigid works.

Got them wet yet? Hold up good in water?

Yep, plenty wet, and snow, and road snow crap, and they are still kicking, no issues to report.

As for what you should get, it all comes down to your pocket book. Someone also mention VisionX, look at Baja Designs. I don't think build quality or durability is going to be the main thing, i think they all make good products, it comes down to your pocket book.
